i there and welcome to Learning Through The Word. My name is Brian and I’ve been through a lot of things in my life. Experiencing some real heartache, pain, and suffering has brought me closer to God than I had ever thought possible. This site is dedicated to what I am finding in the Word. Those things that the Lord is showing me.
Being a bit of a “techie” with many years in the software industry has made me a bit of a researcher. I’m not content with spiritual sounding words that may or may not be from the Word. I have first hand experience in dealing with cults (click here to see that whole story.) From that experience I have learned that people are extremely susceptible to spiritual sounding words and phrases. In our heads we can’t always differentiate what’s from the Word and what is just so much spiritual mumbo-jumbo.
For that reason you will find my writings differ in that you will always see scriptural support for what I’m saying, complete with footnotes and links to online verses so that you can evaluate the truth. Remember in reading this or any writing devoted to the Lord that, in the end, it is the readers responsibility to delve into the Word and find the answers for themselves. Don’t trust the writer. Trust the Lord!
