May He Sanctify You Completely
By Brian | June 17, 2008
I received a father’s day card in the mail from my wife’s parents and written on it was Thessalonians 5:23-24:
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Isn’t that an incredible thought? We sinners, saved by grace, have an incrdible fountain. To be sanctified by the creator of the universe is a pretty awesome thought. Of course if anyone can do it, He can.
I am truly blessed, in difficult circumstances, by the people around me. The Lord has truly blessed me despite all that has happened in my life. At times I don’t know what I would have done without my family, both near and far. The Lord gives us family for a reason. None of us are perfect, of course, but our families are something truly special. Truly a gift from God.
