More on the Jezebel Spirit

Have you ever heard the phrase “God’s Word is more real than the way that you feel?” I’ve heard it said more than once. It’s true too. God’s Word IS more real than the way that you feel. What we suffer in life is a trifle compared to what He suffered for me, you, and all of us. The problem I find, though, is that oftentimes this is said by those that don’t pay attention to the Word or, perhaps, those that hold on to certain verses to defend actions that the Word as a whole does not support. The Jezebels of the modern day.
In much of my writings you will find a common theme. 1) Suffering. 2) Love of the Lord in spite of suffering. This common theme is there because of the suffering I have seen in my lifetime. My wife has left me with my youngest son to live with the Pastor and his wife of a small non-denominational church she attends. This group has acted purposefully to separate my wife from her husband, her friends, and her family. They are elitist and spiritual abuse runs rampant. An example of Ahab and Jezebel in action.
If you’ve read about the Jezebel spirit (and I’m shocked how prevalent this is) your aware of the damage caused by Jezebel in the church. What if Jezebel ran the church? Thats whats happening in this case. It is no different than the biblical Jezebel. Knocking down the Prophets in support of her own “prophets.” Hurting innocent men to get what her Ahab wants. Separation, division, and lies. Using manipulation, seduction, and false prophecy to control her own eunuchs in a modern day “church.” Control at all costs.
Are you suffering the actions of a Jezebel? Can you feel the constant manipulation, can you hear the lies, or the seductive voice she uses to snare her prey? If this is going on in your life the only thing you can do is fight it. Be a Jehu. Don’t lie down and accept the discord and agony. Jezebel cannot stand a man or woman that stands firm. Be aware that, like Jehu, you must be willing to risk everything in the fight. I stand to lose my wife, whom I love very much, in my fight. You must know that in fighting Jezebel you must have faith that the Lord will watch over all that you stand to lose.
Stand firm against Jezebel. Stand firm with the truth and for the Truth.
